Thoroughly enjoyed the way our decent sized room with a comfy bed was. A lot of food for breakfast, which was excellent to satisfy everyone. The staff was fairly friendly and amicable, offered to visit some nice places.

Exceptionally comfortable bed, large bathroom and tea and coffee making equipment, an iron with ironing board, and a work desk in the room. The staff were amazingly nice, friendly and helped me with free parking.

The staff were brilliant and even brought us a free plate of sandwhiches in the residence bar when it came to closing time.
It is a bit dated but has great charm

I just mentioned that we need double as we'll be with our daughter, just in case not to get twin. And they gave us triple! We were coming just for night's sleep, so didn't tried the food, but prices and smells were very appealing - I was kindly surprised as the hotel in real looked even better than on website. Room was cleaned and towels were changed everyday. And refills of coffee or tea everyday as well (just couple of times of my previous trips that wasn't been done even after reminding).
It's not newly refurbished, maybe some goods outdated, but warm atmosphere for me is more important and I was glad that I chose this one as my second choice was Clarion, situated just next doors.

The sink was unusable unless you pressed down, while the mattress reminded me of a trampoline gone wrong. Honestly, i nearly left a stellar review, but the utter lack of room upgrade for my troubles really pushed me over the edge.

Great locals in the hotel pub. Great bartenders. Friendly staff.
My room number was given out to a stranger I had met the night before. I did not want him to have my room number or I would have given it to him myself. It was given to him by reception and he called my room and even came up with the housekeeper knocking and then entering my room. I had to tell them both to leave and ask reception not to give my room number to anyone. I don't feel I should have had to tell them this. It should have already been their policy.
